The First Tea of Greater Sacramento. Situated in William Land Park in the heart of downtown Sacramento, this refurbished 9-hole course is truly a memorable golf experience. Nicknamed the "Cradle of Golf" in Sacramento, LPGC opened for play in 1924, making it the city's oldest golf course. In 1998, SAY Golf (now The First Tee of Greater Sacramento) took over the operation of the course and has since upgraded various holes and facilities to make it one of the premier 9-hole courses in the region. This venue is perfect for those interested in a peaceful round of golf in a beautiful park setting. We can also accommodate private tournaments and corporate outings, with the availability of our new Swanson's Grove BBQ area. Mulligans Café offers a diverse breakfast and lunch menu, and can cater your event. For more information on tournaments and outings, please call (916) 277-1207.

Haggin Oaks is the track where the legendary Ben Hogan won his first professional check--$350.00 for third place-- in the 1938 Sacramento Open.
